SEO, GEO & Performance

So that search engines and AI-powered systems can better find, understand and classify your content.

Visibility does not come from a single SEO measure. Search systems need to recognise what content your website offers, which topics your company is relevant for and how individual pages relate to one another. To achieve this, we combine technical foundations, content structure, structured data and performance.

Terms

SEO and GEO – briefly explained

Two acronyms, one goal: to be found and correctly understood. The difference lies in where people search – and what comes back.

In practice the two can hardly be separated anyway. Sound technology, clear structure and substantiated content are the foundation for the results list as much as for the AI answer.

For this we use the widely used term GEO – Generative Engine Optimization. It refers to optimising content for AI-powered search and answer systems.

SEOSearch Engine OptimizationVisibility in search results
Your page should appear in the results list on Google and Bing. People search with keywords, the result is a list of links – and what gets clicked is what ranks high and convinces.
GEOGenerative Engine OptimizationAI visibility
Your content should appear in the answers of AI-powered search and answer systems such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews or Copilot. People ask in full sentences, and the answer is a text citing a few sources. Which content is taken into account or cited as a source depends on the respective system and the specific query. Clear, well-founded and technically accessible content improves the basis for this, but does not guarantee a mention.
Search engines and AI systems

Visibility is not a single lever.

It comes from the interplay of technology, content, markup and speed.

Scope

What visibility is built from

  • Technical SEO

We create the technical conditions that allow search engines to crawl, understand and index content reliably. Depending on the project, this includes:

    • clean URL structures
    • meta titles and descriptions
    • canonical URLs
    • XML sitemaps and robots.txt
    • redirects and error pages
    • indexation control
    • multilingual hreflang structures
    • structured headings
    • technical crawlability
  • On-page SEO

SEO begins with the question of what potential customers are actually searching for. Based on this, we develop page structures and content that meaningfully connect search intent with your company's offering:

    • keyword and topic analysis
    • search intent
    • information architecture
    • landing and service pages
    • references and case studies
    • FAQ content
    • internal linking
    • content optimisation

We avoid artificial keyword stuffing and create content primarily for people.

  • GEO – visibility in AI search systems

There is no single “GEO technique” for visibility in AI-powered search and answer systems. What matters is whether content is clearly structured, well-founded, technically accessible and can be clearly attributed to a company or topic.

    • clearly structured, well-founded content
    • clear company and topic attribution
    • first-hand experience and case studies
    • traceable sources
    • structured data
    • technical accessibility
    • consistent company information
    • meaningful internal linking

We already take these requirements into account when building websites and content.

  • Structured data

Structured data can help search engines understand content and entities more clearly. Depending on the project, this can include markup for:

    • companies and organisations
    • people
    • services and products
    • breadcrumbs
    • articles
    • projects and references
    • websites
    • other contextually appropriate content

Structured data does not replace good content; it complements it.

  • Performance

A fast website improves usability and reduces unnecessary waiting time. We analyse and optimise, among other things:

    • image sizes and image formats
    • loading behaviour
    • JavaScript
    • fonts
    • caching
    • server response times
    • rendering
    • layout stability
    • Core Web Vitals

Important metrics include Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint and Cumulative Layout Shift.

  • Local SEO

For regionally active companies, we also take local search queries into account. This may include:

    • accurate location and company data
    • local content relevance
    • Google Business Profile
    • reviews
    • local landing pages where useful
    • structured local information
  • Monitoring & continuous improvement

SEO does not end with the launch. Search and performance data show which pages are found and clicked, for which topics rankings are developing and where further optimisation is needed.

On this basis, content and technology can be developed further in a targeted way.

Outcome

What does this mean for you?

  • Your content is structured so that Google and AI-powered search systems can understand and classify it more easily.
  • Relevant pages gain a stronger technical and content foundation for appearing in the right searches.
  • Faster loading times provide a better experience across all devices.
  • Search visibility and website performance become measurable and can be improved continuously.
